A School Health Program has been conducted by 04th year B Sc Nursing students at Government Model High School, Peresandra, as a part of their Community Posting. The topic of the teaching program was “Menstrual Hygiene”.
42 girls have attended the program. In the end, children were appreciated with simple prizes and refreshment.

Department of Medical surgical nursing has organised a seminar on eye donation fortnight 2025 on 3rd September 2025 at Seminar Hall. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of eye donation and promote pledging.












Independence Day Celebration 2025 at Shantha Group of Institutions
SGI proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15 August 2025 with great enthusiasm. The ceremony began with flag hoisting and the National Anthem, fostering pride and unity among all. Our Management Trustee, Dr. Preethi Sudhakar Maam , inspired the gathering with an address on the significance of the day and the role of youth in nation-building. As part of the program, prizes were awarded to winners of the Utkarsh 2K-25 competitions, recognizing their talent and creativity with trophies and certificates.















BREAST FEEDING WEEK CELEBRATION (AUG 1ST TO AUG 7TH )
Breastfeeding is one of the most effective ways to ensure child health and survival. Breastmilk is the ideal food for infants. It is safe, clean and contains antibodies which help protect against many common childhood illnesses. Breastfeeding offers a wide range of physical, emotional, and long-term health benefits for both the baby and the mother.
Under the theme “Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems” the poster presentation, community awareness program, role play and workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Naveen .H. Simon, Dean Academics and Prof. Diana. H, Principal , organized by OBG & Child Health Nursing Department along with the students from Aug 1 st to Aug 7th .
The main aim of the program : To promote and protect breastfeeding as the best source of nourishment for infants and young children, while also highlighting the importance of support systems for breastfeeding mothers
